The 2nd General Practice Summit was held on the 1st February 2023. The focus for this summit was on potential partnership models for general practice in Dorset to ensure we are sustainable in the future, both in the short and the long term.

What can be done quickly to reduce bureaucracy in general practice this winter? All practices in Dorset have been asked to feedback to NHS Dorset system leaders what they would like to see stop and improve to make general practice more efficient.

At the first meeting of the Alliance on 10 August 2022, Forbes Watson was elected clinical chair by the board, including elected representatives from Dorset’s 18 Primary Care Networks (PCNs).

The Dorset General Practice Alliance has appointed Tim Goodson, former Chief Officer at Dorset CCG, as Executive Officer.
